By accessing or using BarginBuddy (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by WebWorks Technology Solutions ("we," "us," or "our"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

BarginBuddy is a grocery price comparison platform designed for shoppers in Trinidad and Tobago. The Service allows users to:

Search and compare prices of grocery items across different supermarkets
Create and manage shopping lists
Submit and update price information
Receive notifications about price changes

The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising. Sponsored offers from retailers are clearly labeled across the site; clicking a sponsored call-to-action may redirect you to that retailer’s site.

3. User Accounts

Some features of the Service require you to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your password
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

4. User Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

Use the Service only for lawful purposes
Submit accurate price information to the best of your knowledge
Not submit false, misleading, or spam content
Not attempt to manipulate prices or game the system
Not interfere with or disrupt the Service
Respect other users and their contributions

5. Content Guidelines

When submitting content (including prices, reviews, and images), you agree that:

You have the right to submit the content
The content is accurate and not misleading
The content does not infringe on any third-party rights
The content does not contain offensive, harmful, or illegal material

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content as part of the Service.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines or that we deem inappropriate.

6. Sponsored Offers & Price Information

Price information on BarginBuddy is provided by users and may not always be accurate or up-to-date. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of price information.

Prices displayed on the Service are for informational purposes only. Actual prices at stores may differ. Always verify prices at the point of purchase.

We are not affiliated with any supermarket or retailer mentioned on the Service.

Retailers may purchase sponsored placements on BarginBuddy. Sponsored listings are labeled “Sponsored” (or similar) and may include call-to-action buttons that redirect you to a third-party site. By interacting with a sponsored offer, you acknowledge that the retailer’s own terms and privacy practices apply, and that we may record impression and click metadata (offer ID, surface, timestamp, coarse location, device type) to provide billing statements and performance reports to the advertiser.

Advertisers must comply with the Fair Trading Commission guidance in Trinidad and Tobago, the FTC endorsement guidelines, and our internal advertising standards. We may suspend or remove sponsored placements that are misleading, omit required disclosures, or fail to honor advertised prices.

7. Data & Advertiser Obligations

If you purchase sponsored placements or other advertising services from BarginBuddy, you agree to provide accurate creatives, landing pages, and billing details. You authorize us to log impression and click events for invoicing and dispute resolution, and you acknowledge that these logs may be retained for up to 18 months. You are responsible for ensuring that your creatives comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection and advertising disclosure obligations in Trinidad and Tobago.

Except where prohibited by law, you will indemnify BarginBuddy and WebWorks Technology Solutions against claims arising from your sponsored content, including false advertising or regulatory violations.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-submitted content), features, and functionality are owned by WebWorks Technology Solutions and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WebWorks Technology Solutions, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Content you submit to the Service

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Trinidad and Tobago.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
